Port Royal because of its recent problems with piracy and chaos has been placed under the jurisdiction of Lord Cutler Beckett of The East India Trading Company.Being a duly appointed representative of The King, Cutler Beckett is basically allowed to do what he wishes as long as his duty is accomplished. However Beckett’s main mission is to rid The Caribbean of piracy so that he might establish trade with The New World.
James Norrington having returned the heart of Davy Jones to Beckett has been appointed as Admiral but is finding that serving The East India Trading Company is far different then The Royal Navy. And there is still a part of him that wonders what has happened to the other Pirate Lord after hearing the news of the missing Black Pearl with Jack Sparrow.
